We're proud to announce our collaboration with the Rwanda
Basic Education Board (REB) and UNESCO in delivering comprehensive training on
Comprehensive Sexual Education (CSE) to Teacher Training College (TTC)
tutors.
This initiative, undertaken to align with the Ministry of
Education's National School Health Policy and Strategic Plan and the Ministry
of Health's Family Planning and Adolescents Sexual and Reproductive Health
Strategic Plan, marks a significant step towards promoting holistic education
and well-being for Rwandan youth.
Through our joint efforts, we've meticulously designed and
implemented training modules to equip TTC tutors with the knowledge and skills
needed to integrate CSE effectively into their teaching practices. Building on
UNESCO's regional training on sexuality education and previous partnership
efforts, we're dedicated to ensuring that the content and delivery of CSE meet
the highest standards and reflect the latest evidence and emerging
issues.
Our training approach encompasses both online and offline
resources, including scripted lesson plans, to enhance the quality and
accessibility of CSE instruction. Under the guidance of REB's CSE master
trainers, selected educational trainers underwent Training of Trainers (ToT)
sessions, enabling them to lead the dissemination of CSE knowledge to TTC
tutors across Rwanda.
As we move forward, we remain committed to supporting the
professional development of educators and fostering a safe, supportive, and
inclusive learning environment for all students. Together, let's empower
teachers with the tools and resources they need to promote positive health
outcomes and empower the next generation of leaders
