We
are thrilled to announce that Education
Development Consult(EDC) jointly with Australian
Council for Education Research India (ACER India) was awarded the
assignment to review, conduct, analyse, and report on Learning Achievement in
Rwandan Schools in 2025 (LARS 2025), for P3, P6, and S3 in the subjects of
Kinyarwanda (P3 only), English Reading, Mathematics and Science (S3 only). This
assessment is designed to provide data to support the statistical linking of
LARS 2025 to global standards and to track learning progress in Rwanda.
Yesterday May 13th, 2025 closely with National Examination and School Inspection Authority(NESA), we conducted the Nation level training for 30 district based evaluators to equip them with skills required to implement and support the school level assessment. LARS 2025 will be involving 593 schools nationwide with more than 28,000 respondents including senior education leaders from Ministry of Education, REB, National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA), development partners, students, parents and the schools’ leaders in the period of 10months from May 2025.
